BUFFALO, N.Y.—The Villa Maria College men's basketball team were on the road on Wednesday to take on cross-town rival, Bryant and Stratton-Buffalo at The Park School. The Bobcats were in control for most of the game and the Vikings fell by a final score of 101-72. The loss shifts the Villa record to 8-7 on the year, while the Bobcats move to 14-6.

The Vikings fell behind quickly to start the game, 10-0 after the first four minutes of action. They began to hit shots to cut into the deficit, starting with a Zamar Harris layup to cut it to five at the 13:37 mark, and then after another Harris layup with ten minutes to play, Nolan Shephard converted a layup of his own to make the score 19-16 in favor of the Bobcats. Villa kept the game within striking difference until the five minutes mark of the first half. The opposition made a run and the Vikings trailed 53-26 at half-time.

The second half was evenly matched between the two teams, with Villa being outscored by just two points in the final 20 minutes. When the final horn sounded, Jeriah Williams was the leading scorer for the Vikings with 19 points, 11 of which came in the second half. Rhalon Bragg and Harris, both finished with 15 points and combined for 14 assists and 12 rebounds. Shephard was the other double-digit scorer with 12 points and tallied five rebounds of his own.
