GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. – The Villa Maria College men and women's cross country competed in their first meet of the season on Saturday, as they traveled to Beaver Island State Park for the Daniel Walker Invite. The competition was hosted by Buffalo State College.
How It Happened –
- Bridget Schiltz finished the 5k race with a time of 29:11, the top time for the Vikings women's side.
- Monica Schiltz was the second finisher for Villa, completing the race in 30:38.
- On the men's side, Zachary Voss tabbed an overall finish of 14th place after crossing the finish line with a mark of 20:02.
- Aziyon Clemons completed the men's race with a mark of 24:04.
- Crusade McPhail was the third Viking to cross the finish line, recording a time of 26:34.

- Villa will travel to Erie, PA on Friday, Sept. 13 to compete in the Penn State Behrend Twilight Invite. The competition will kick-off at 5:30 p.m.
