GENEVA, N.Y. – The Villa Maria College men and women's cross-country teams wrapped up their regular season on Saturday when they competed in the Cross Country Only Invitational, hosted by William Smith College at Seneca Lake Park. A trio of Vikings ran in the race and showed improvement after a fun campaign.
The women's race kicked off the day with a 6k.
Bridget Schiltz was the first runner from Villa to cross the finish line and she completed the race with a time of 32:11.4. Monica Schilitz was the next competitor to cross for the Vikings, and it took her a mark of 39:02.5 to do so. On the men's side,
Zachary Voss continued to represent Villa by running in the 6k as well. Overall, Voss finished strong with a time of 33:10.3.
The team wraps up a 2019-2020 season that saw tremendous improvement from the first race to the last. The future is bright as the program grows in the years to come.
