BUFFALO, NY - Gerald Bibbs and company led a furious second half rally, but it came up just short as the Villa Maria Vikings suffered their first defeat of the season, falling 99-95 in overtime to the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats on Wednesday night inside the Villa Athletic Center. Villa falls to 8-1 on the season while the Bobcats improve to 6-2.
Villa came into the game ranked first in the both United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division II National Coaches Poll while the Bobcats came in ranked third in the Division I poll. Bibbs scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half, including four threes. Senior
Dominic Douglas finished with a team-high 26 points. Tyrell Mitchell scored a game-high 28 points for Bryant & Stratton.
