BUFFALO, NY - A late run and a spark by a unfamiliar piece helped the #9 Villa Maria College Vikings upend the Jamestown Community College Jayhawks 88-77 on Friday evening inside the Villa Athletic Center. Freshman
Julius Allen (Buffalo, NY/Oracle Charter) scored or assisted on 13 straight points and fueled a 19-0 run that put Villa ahead for good.
Allen hit a straightaway three with 6:23 left to cut the deficit to 69-65 before scoring on the next possession on a floater from the left wing. He then assisted on the next two buckets, both shots by sophomore
DeJaun Owens (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry) to give Villa a lead. Owens finished a layup off a great pass from Allen before cashing in one of his four triples from well beyond the arc.
