BUFFALO, NY - Back-to-back triple-doubles from junior forward Shaquana Owens (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter School) propelled Villa to a 2017-ending sweep of Sheridan College, defeating the Bruins 80-60 on Thursday afternoon inside the Villa Athletic Center.

The Vikings - who end the calendar year 9-3 and winners of 11 consecutive games at home dating back to the start of the 2016-17 season - got 13 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists from Owens.  Sophomore forward Nina Cray (Wheatland, IA/Calamus-Wheatland) scored 23 and grabbed a game-high 20 rebounds.

Senior forward Clarissa Walker(Rochester, NY/Genesee Community College) recorded her second straight double-double, scoring 19 points and corralled 14 boards.  Sophomore guard Bianca Brown (Niagara Falls, NY/Jamestown Community College) chipped in 18 points.

The Vikings will next play on January 5th and 6th in 2018 when they hit the road for two games against Penn State York and Penn State Mont Alto.
