DEPEW, NY - The Carlow University Celtics were too much to handle as they handed the Villa Maria College women's soccer team an 11-0 loss on Saturday afternoon at Rehm Road Park.
The Vikings recorded a season-high nine shots on goal and once again were led by junior leader
Breanna Pangel (Holland, NY/Erie Community College) who had five shots, another season-high. Â Senior
Jayvonna Kincannon (Buffalo, NY/Erie Community College) and freshmen
Jesalyn Cala (Tonawanda, NY/Tonawanda),
Ashlynn Banks (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry), and
Uniqua Rolon (San Diego, CA/Lackawana) all registered one shot as well.
Sophomore goalkeeper Shaquanna Owens (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry) recorded 20 saves, increasing her season total to 39. Â
The Vikings now begin a five game road trip, beginning on Saturday, October 1 in Syracuse, NY against SUNY-Environmental Sciences and Forestry at 1:30 p.m.
