Bruins Take Care of Vikings North of Border

Vikings falter in only trip over the border

OAKVILLE, ON - The Villa Maria Vikings made the one-day trip over the border on Tuesday, and came up empty-handed, falling to Sheridan College for the second time this season, 81-60.

The Bruins had balanced scoring across the board as 11 different players scored.  They were led by Dylan Periana who netted 13 and dished out 7 assists.  Navdeep Deol scored 10 off the bench.

Villa was led by Dominic Douglas (Bainbridge, GA/Bainbridge) who scored 14 points, while freshman Darius Huggins (Buffalo, NY/Lackawanna) scored 11 points and pulled down 14 rebounds.

The Vikings shot just under 35 percent for the game and came up empty on all 8, three-point attempts.  Despite making 42 trips to the free throw line, they were able to make just 24 of those attempts.

Villa Maria returns home for the first time since December 21, when they host Niagara County Community College on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 4 p.m.
