OAKVILLE, ON - The Villa Maria Vikings made the one-day trip over the border on Tuesday, and came up empty-handed, falling to Sheridan College for the second time this season, 81-60.
The Bruins had balanced scoring across the board as 11 different players scored. Â They were led by Dylan Periana who netted 13 and dished out 7 assists. Â Navdeep Deol scored 10 off the bench.
Villa was led by
Dominic Douglas (Bainbridge, GA/Bainbridge) who scored 14 points, while freshman
Darius Huggins (Buffalo, NY/Lackawanna) scored 11 points and pulled down 14 rebounds. Â
The Vikings shot just under 35 percent for the game and came up empty on all 8, three-point attempts. Â Despite making 42 trips to the free throw line, they were able to make just 24 of those attempts. Â
Villa Maria returns home for the first time since December 21, when they host Niagara County Community College on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 4 p.m.
