FORT KENT, ME - Another one possession game went the way of the University of Maine at Fort Kent and allowed the Bengals to down the Vikings for the second time this season, 69-66 on Wednesday afternoon.
The two teams fought tooth and nail for the entire game but a late 7-3 run to close the game, put the Bengals over the Vikings. Â Freshmen
Donte Campbell (Buffalo, NY/Huch Tech) and
Dominic Douglas (Bainbridge, GA/Bainbridge) each scored 15 points while fellow freshmen
Darius Huggins (Buffalo, NY/Lackawanna) and
DeJaun Owens (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry) each netted 13 to lead Villa.
The Vikings shot over 45 percent from the field and nearly 39 percet from  beyond the arc, but could not contain Fort Kent big man Joe McCloskey, who scored a game-high 34 points.
The Vikings finish their three-game northeast road trip on Thursday, December 31 when they play at the University of Maine Presque Isle at 2 p.m.
