Keith Wing enters his fourth season in 2027 as the Villa Maria College Women's Flag Football Head Coach.
 
In his previous three seasons with the Vikings, Coach Wing has compiled a record of 40-23 that saw the program’s winning percentage grow from .100 in its inaugural season to .840 in 2025.
 
In the team’s inaugural season in 2023-2024, Coach Wing led the first Women's Collegiate Flag Football (WCFFB) team in New York State. This historic initiative comprised a short ten-game season with the Vikings earning their first collegiate win in a 1-9 season,
 
During the 2025 campaign, Villa Maria saw dramatic improvements and finished with a .643 winning percentage with an 18-10 overall record. The Vikings were the No. 1 seed with a 6-0 league record heading into the National Collegiate Flag Football League (NCFFL) playoffs with a Final Four appearance.
 
The 2025 team finished nationally-ranked No. 25 by WCFFB, who ranks teams that compete at levels of the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA and USCAA. In addition, Coach Wing was recognized for his team’s accomplishments as NCFFL Coach of the Year in 2025.  During the 2025 season, Coach-of-the-Year Wing mentored four NCFFL All-Stars.
 
The 2026 season showed continued growth and improvement for the program as the Vikings finished with a 21-4 overall record and .840 winning percentage. Again, the Vikings posted an undefeated NCFFL regular season prior to the postseason at 12-0 and repeated as a Final Four NCFFL national contender.
 
Villa Maria was one of just six teams in the nation to post a 20-plus win season. Villa Maria finished the regular season with a national ranking of No.12 by WCFFB, while producing four NCFFL All-Stars.
 
Coach Wing’s other experiences in flag football include Director of Flag Football for the Western New York Flash and color analyst for Buffalo-Toronto Public Media, with the latter role specializing in Section VI High School flag football.  
 
Coach Wing’s experience coaching flag football began at the high-school level with a three-year stint at Williamsville South High School as Head Coach from 2023 through 2025, where he led the team to a 30-16-2 record. Highlights from Coach Wing’s time at Williamsville South included:

  • Buffalo Bills Section VI Coach of the Week in April 2025
  • League Coach of the Year 2024
Coach Wing has coached a variety of athletic teams at the high-school level in addition to flag football that include wrestling, girls basketball, baseball, football, and softball.  At the collegiate level, Coach Wing was an Assistant Coach for the Rochester Institute of Technology Softball team for two seasons in 2008 and 2009.
 
Coach Wing has a strong background in coaching, teaching, and educational leadership. He currently serves as a school administrator in the Williamsville Central School District, where he has worked since 2012. Prior to that, he was an Athletic Director and School Principal in the Byron-Bergen Central School District and an Educator/Teacher in the Livonia and Wheatland-Chili school districts.    
 
During his collegiate athletic playing career, Wing was a baseball utility infielder for Division III SUNY Oswego during the 1997 and1998 seasons, and finished with a career batting average above .300.
 
Coach Wing holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education (SUNY Oswego '99) and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (SUNY Brockport ‘01).
 
Originally from Livonia, NY, Coach Wing currently resides in Williamsville, NY with his wife, Christine, and children, Ethan, Jillian, and Andrew.
