Owen's is a graduate of Villa Maria College where she was a part of the women's basketball program from 2015-2019. In the 2015-2016 season she was named second-team All-American and in 2016-17, she improved to the first-team All-American while reaching the 1,000-point milestone.
In the 2017-2018 campaign, Owen's took home Player of the Year, while being named to the first-team All-American and averaging 22.5 points per game, 11.6 rebounds per game and 8.6 assists per game. During her senior season with the Vikings (2018-2019) Owen's won Player of the Year again along with the honor of first-team All-American, while hitting the 2,000 point milestone.Â
