Cori Dickson joins the Vikings women’s basketball team as an assistant coach in 2020-21. Dickson is a native of Buffalo, N.Y. and attended Cardinal O’Hara high school before going on to play collegiately at the University of Northwestern Ohio and Niagara County Community College (NCCC).
In her one year at NCCC Dickson served as team captain and starting point guard in 33 games and led the team to a 31-0 regular season. Dickson averaged 9.2 points, 7.2 assists, 2.4 steals and 3.5 rebounds in 32.6 minutes per game. She led the NCJAA in assists that year and received the honor of having her jersey retired.
As a coach, Dickson works for the Buffalo Police Athletic League where she instructs children ages 7-14 in basketball, football, tennis and lacrosse. She promotes sportsmanship and teamwork among all the players. In that time, she coordinates practices of 20-25 students and develops and implements drills for them.
