BUFFALO, NY – Ricky Yahn was named the new Athletic Director at Villa Maria College, announced Brian Emerson, Villa Maria's Executive Vice President.
 
"I am really excited to expand my role at Villa Maria and build on the tremendous progress made by our former Athletic Director, Chris Heximer. I appreciate Executive Vice President, Brian Emerson, and President Giordano entrusting me with this opportunity," said Yahn.
 
Yahn brings four years of collegiate athletics administration experience as an Assistant Athletics Director at Concordia University (Ann Arbor, Mich.) from 2021-2025. While with the Cardinals, Yahn also coached the men's basketball team for more than a decade (2013-2025).
 
Prior to that he spent time as a Men's Basketball Assistant Coach with stops at Longwood University, Saint Vincent College, and Cornell University.
 
As a former men's collegiate basketball player, Yahn was a first-team all-league pick and team most valuable player at Wheeling Jesuit University, where he was a two-year captain. After his collegiate career, Yahn spent time playing professionally in England and Buffalo.
 
Yahn holds an MBA from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheeling Jesuit University.
