TINTON FALLS, N.J. – Four members of the Villa Maria College women's flag football team were recognized as NCFFL all-stars during the NCFFL National Championship Tournament on May 3.

Seniors Kiara Mercado (Peekskill, NY) and Alyssa Saavedra (Orlando, Fla.) joined sophomore Alannah Bushorr (Williamsville, NY) and freshman Angelina Green (Hamburg, NY) as Villa's flag football all-stars.

Prior to this weekend's NCFFL Championship Tournament, Mercado was the team's leading rusher and also led the team in tackles, while Saavedra was tied-third in tackles.

Bushorr was the team's leader in receptions and points scored, while Green was second on the team in tackles and tackles-for-loss.
