LANCASTER, PA. – The Villa Maria College women's flag football team opened this weekend's NCFFL tournament play with a 33-0 win over Harford Community College on April 10 at Lancaster Bible College.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Kiara Mercado got the first two Villa scores with the first by reception and the second by run for a 14-0 first quarter lead.
- Alannah Bushorr registered the Vikings' next two scores with receptions with the first closing out the first half scoring at 21-0 and the second coming in the third quarter for a 27-0 lead.
- Layla Gallant closed out the game's scoring with a third-quarter reception for the 33-0 final.
- Brianna Shalinsky finished with four passing touchdowns.
- The Viking defense finished with four pass breakups, two sacks and one interception.
- Angelina Green led the defense with six stops and one sack.
- The shutout was Villa's fourth of the season.
- The Vikings have outscored the Fighting Owls, 80-6, in their two meetings this season.
