BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Villa Maria College men's basketball team took a 36-34 lead into the break, but couldn't hold on against visiting SUNY-ESF as the Mighty Oaks took the game, 81-62, in a non-conference game on Dec. 6.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Villa's biggest lead occurred with 11:30 to go in the first half after a Jeremiah Clarke 3-pointer gave the Vikings a 9-point lead.
- The Vikings held a 49-47 lead with 14 minutes left in the game, but the Mighty Oaks went on a 15-2 run during the next five minutes and never looked back.
- The game was influenced by SUNY-ESF's edge with 14-more free throws (19-5) and 21-more points from 3-point plays (30-9).
- Villa out-rebounded the Mighty Oaks, 51-34.
- Clarke was the lone Viking to finish with a double-double after 13 points and 10 boards.
- Maurice Woods led the home team in scoring with 16 points.
- Jaylin Gadley registered a double-digit point performance with 10.
