Villa Maria Vikings Join HVIAC
NEW YORK – The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is proud to announce that Villa Maria College has been accepted for membership effective this upcoming 2022-23 season.

Villa Maria College is a United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) member that currently sponsors two sports — men's and women's basketball and men's and women's soccer — that will compete in league play and be eligible for HVIAC Championships this upcoming fall season.

Located in Buffalo, NY and founded in 1961, Villa Maria College is  diverse and inclusive community where students are defined by their potential, not their financial status. At Villa, students learn the skills that are necessary to do well in the classroom, pass on the College's long-held values and ideals of doing good in the world, and lend all the support we can to turn aspirations into realities, potential into promise. They offer undergraduate degree programs from animation, business administration, community health , liberal arts, psychology, multitude of certificate programs and minors.

The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is comprised of four-year colleges in New York state, particularly the New York metropolitan area, who do not offer financial aid based on athletic ability. The HVIAC sponsors championships in nine sports and receives automatic bids to USCAA Division II National Championships in men's and women's basketball and men's and women's soccer. 2022 - 23 members are Berkeley College (New York, N.Y.), Culinary Institute of America (Hyde Park, N.Y.), Five Towns College (Dix Hills, NY), The King's College (New York, N.Y.), Vaughn College of Aeronautics (Flushing, N.Y.) and Word of Life/Davis (Plottersville, N.Y.).
