BUFFALO, N.Y. – Villa Maria College is happy to host Fan Appreciation Day on Wednesday, January 19 when the men's basketball team take on Bryant and Stratton Rochester in the Vikings Athletic Center. The match is set for 5:30 p.m. 
 
It is the first game for the men's basketball team since December 19 when they traveled to Glenville College, where they suffered a 96-76 loss. The Vikings hold a 7-6 record, 3-3 at home, and sit at no. 9 in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) week five coaches' poll. The Bobcats enter the game with a 5-4 record on the year, but have not been successful on the road, going 1-3 when away from home. Entering the new year, Rochester are 1-3 and defeated Berkeley on Sunday to snap a three-game skid. 
 
To celebrate Fan Appreciation Day, President of Villa, Dr. Giordano, will speak a few words at halftime. That will be followed up with a half-court shot contest and the winner will receive Villa swag!
