BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Villa Maria College men's basketball team play their third straight home game on Thursday, when they host Bryant and Stratton-Rochester. The Vikings remain winless on the season, but are coming off of a competitive battle against Bryant and Stratton-Buffalo that showed a lot of talent on the team.

Last Game Recap: The Vikings played in a game that went down to the final possession, where
Trent Cordone had an opportunity for a game-winner. The team total 88 points, outscoring the opposition 48-39 in the second half.
Juwan Beale led the team with 30 points, shooting 12 free-throws and making ten of them. Three other players finished in double-figures including 17 from
Kevin Goode and ten a piece by Cordone and
Master Radford. The team out-rebounded the Bobcats 43 to 35 and limited their long-range shooting to just 28%.
Scouting Bryant and Stratton-Rochester: The Bobcats played their first game since mid-November on Sunday, falling to Bryant and Stratton- Cleveland. Their season record now sits at 1-2, dropping their last two games. They started their year with a win against Bryant and Stratton-Albany by a final score of 92-79, before falling to Bryant and Stratton-Buffalo, 100-80.
Young and Involved: Villa has seen two freshman, Cordone and
Nolan Shephard, start in all three games this season. Cordone averages 11.3 points in 32.7 minutes per game. Shephard averages 23.0 minutes per game and has had a constant impact on the defensive side of the ball with his communication and energy.
The Vikings will battle the Bobcats at 7 p.m. on Thursday, following the women's basketball game.
