SHARON, PA – The Villa Maria College men's basketball team hit the road on Wednesday for their first road game of the season. It was a rematch against Penn State Shenango, the team that they lost 83-71 just four days earlier. The Vikings were able to get the result they wanted with a 78-76 victory over Penn State in overtime.
The game was filled with runs and neither team gaining a true advantage. At half time the Vikings held a two-point advantage, and after regulation time expired, the score was tied at 69-69.
Rhalon Bragg was able to maintain his offense in the extra time, as the team won 78-79.
Bragg was the star of the show with 39 points on 10-for-18 shooting from the field, 8-for-13 shooting from three and 11-for-13 from the free-throw line. He recorded a double-double with 11 rebounds to go along with three assists and three blocks.
Jeriah Williams was also impressive collecting 21 points on 10-for-12 shooting from the field.
Up next for Villa is the Bobcats Bash, where they will meet Vermont Tech on Saturday, November 13 for a 2:30 p.m. matchup.
