BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Villa Maria College men's basketball team will see their 2020-21 begin on Wednesday, January 27 as they travel to Clarkson University for the first ever matchup between the two teams.

Scouting Clarkson: The Golden Knights are 0-1 on the season after falling to Bryant and Stratton-Buffalo. The team scored 78 points, but struggled maintaining possession as they recorded 26 turnovers. The scoring leader was junior guard, Chris Hulbert who shot 9-for-19 from the field to total 24 points. In the 2019-20 season, Clarkson finished 8-17 and averaged 74.1 points per game on 41.6 field-goal percentage and 33.2 three-point percentage. 
 
 
New Year, New Look for Villa: The Vikings have a new foundation going into this year, as they return only four players from last years roster. In addition, they have three juniors, four sophomores, and eight freshmen. As a team in 2019-20, the Vikings finished with an 11-16 record, scoring 78.8 points per game on 46.9 field goal percentage and 33.5 three-point percentage.
