BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Villa Maria College men's soccer team kicked off their 2019 season at home, with a matchup against Paul Smith's College. A bright spot came today when
Wit Supprapipatp knocked in the first goal in Vikings history.
Inside the Matchup –
- The Vikings now hold a record of 0-1.
- The Bobcats pick up their first win of the season, moving to 1-0.
How It Happened –
- Villa started strong, playing strong defense against the opponent.
- Supprapipatp was a constant threat on the offensive end, recording four shots in the first half, but could not connect.
- In the second half, a hard foul in the box led to a penalty that pinned Supprapipatp one-on-one against the goalie.
- After a few seconds of pause, Supprapipatp hit a shot that bounced off the right post and into the back of the net for the first goal in program history.
