MCKEESPORT, PA - A 33-19 advantage in the third quarter helped the #2 Villa Maria Vikings pull away as they defeated #20 Penn State Greater Allegheny 95-75 to pick up their eighth straight win on Friday night.  Senior forward Shaquana Owens paced Villa with 24 points and junior Nina Cray added 22 as five players scored in double.-figures.

Vikings held a 45-41 lead at the break but quickly extended that lead, scoring 11 of the half's first 15 points.  Junior guard Chmicka Kennedy scored 16 points and was a red-hot 4-of-6 from beyond the arc.  Bianca Brown added 13 and Armoni Jordan scored 12 off the bench for Villa.

Villa shot 46.9 percent from the floor and forced 33 Penn State turnovers.  Greater Allegheny came into the game with a perfect 3-0 mark in conference play and were led on Friday by Jayla Ellis who scored 23 off the bench.

WHAT'S NEXT
Villa will return home to host Onondaga Community College on Sunday at 12 p.m. looking for it's ninth straight victory.
