DELHI, NY - Another day, another stat sheet stuffed by
Shaquana Owens (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter). The sophomore nearly recorded a quadruple-double on Saturday afternoon as she was instrumental in a 76-63 come-from-behind victory at SUNY Delhi.
Owens finished with 32 points, 10 rebounds, 10 steals, eight blocks and five assists as the #8 Lady Vikings outscored the Lady Broncos 31-13 over the final 10 minutes to secure a season-sweep. Owens opened the fourth quarter rattling off 13 of Villa's first 15 points. She finished with 15 of her game-high 32 in the final quarter.
Delhi led by as many as 15 early but Villa began to click as the second half went on, cutting the deficit from 15 to five at the break. After matching scored in the third quarter, Villa exploded for 31 in the fourth and ran away.
Freshman
Armoni Jordan (Lockport, NY/South Park) finished with 16 points and six rebounds while senior
Jayvonna Kincannon (Buffalo, NY/Genesee Community) added 15 points, nine assists, and six steals. Freshman
Nina Cray (Wheatland, IA/Calamus-Wheatland) led the team in rebounding once again, securing 12 rebounds.

* After being out-rebounded by 16 in the first half, the Lady Vikings were even with the Lady Broncos in the second half
* Villa forced 28 turnovers and turned them into 33 points
