BUFFALO, NY - Sophomore Shaquana Owens (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry) scored a game-high 25 and freshman Armoni Jordan (Lockport, NY/South Park) netted 23 in her first game back from injury as the Villa Maria College Lady Vikings rolled to a 89-54 win over SUNY Canton on Friday night.

Owens stuffed the stat sheet, finishing with eight rebounds, eight blocks, six assists and six steals in just 31 minutes.  Jordan added five rebounds and three steals.  Freshman Nyree Brown (Buffalo, NY/Health Sciences) scored a career-high 12 points and also pulled down eight rebounds.  

Villa (12-8, 1-2) held Canton (4-14) to just 32.4 percent shooting and 11.8 percent from beyond the arc.  They forced 29 turnovers.

INSIDE THE BOX
* Villa Maria had 18 steals
* Villa shot 42.5 percent from the floor for the game and 72.7 percent from the free throw line.
* Villa got 24 points from the bench
* Canton edged Villa out on the glass, 55-47
* Villa had 12 blocks to just one for Canton.

UP NEXT
The Lady Vikings take on Genesee Community College on Monday at 7 p.m.  The two teams met in Buffalo back on January 7th with Villa winning 85-60.  Genesee is currently 7-10 on the season.
