BUFFALO, NY - The Villa Maria College Vikings dropped their 2015-16 finale to the Erie Community College Kats 88-62 on Saturday afternoon at the Villa Athletic Center.
Erie sophomore forward Yusuf Yakubu finished with 25 points and 19 rebounds to lead the Kats as they never trailed. Â Villa was led by freshman
Darius Huggins (Buffalo, NY/Lackawanna) who recorded his 17th double-double of the season with 18 points and 16 rebounds.
The two teams totaled 34 points each in the paint. Â The difference came in bench points as the Kats (15-10, 7-4) got 35 points from their reserves while Villa (7-24, 5-8) recorded just six.
