ALFRED, NY - The Alfred State Lady Pioneers started hot and finished hot as they were too much for the Villa Maria College Lady Vikings to handle on Saturday afternoon.  Alfred scored two early goals and never looked back en route to a 12-0 victory at Pioneer Field in United States Collegiate Athletic Association action.

Alfred recorded 45 shots and had 27 of them on net. Villa freshman Nina Cray (Wheatland, IA/Calamus-Wheatland) came up with 15 saves.

Alfred came into the game ranked 12th in the latest USCAA National Poll and improved to 6-5 on the season.  Villa Maria falls to 0-5 and next plays on Wednesday at Cazenovia College.
