SANBORN, NY - The Villa Maria Lady Vikings played tough, but were unable to stay with the Niagara County Thunderwolves as they fell 76-56 in the championship game of the Thunderwolves Classic on Sunday afternoon.  Senior Magan Campbell (Buffalo, NY/Erie Community) led the Lady Vikings once again in scoring, netting 25 points, a day after scoring 27 in a 67-62 win over Macomb Community College.

The Lady Vikings, who fell to 6-2 and saw their three-game winning streak ended, forced 20 Niagara turnovers but turned those into only 10 points and shot just 30.8 percent from the floor.

Niagara County had three players in double and were led by Tailyah Hopkins who scored 18.  Junior guard Jayvonna Kincannon (Buffalo, NY/Erie Community) scored 16 points for the Lady Vikings, and Shaquana Owens (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry) had seven rebounds and seven assists.
