Victor Arroyo is a graduate of Lafayette High School where he was a 1,000 point scorer and is the all-time school leader in assists (797). His coaching career kicked off in 2011, when he became the Assistant Coach/Developmental Coach for th Lafayette High School Boys Varsity team. From 2011-2014, the team had a record of 52-18 and won the Yale Cup in 2013.Â
During that time at Lafayette, Arroyo joined the semi-pro, Buffalo 716ers as an Assistant Coach and in a four year span, he helped record a mark of 60-24. From 2015-2016, he was an assistant coach for the Park School of Buffalo Girls Varsity team. The unit finished with a record of 15-7 and were regular season MMA Class B Champions. The following year, Arroyo was the assistant coach of the Mount St. Mary's girls varsity team that went 17-8, the program's best record. In 2017-2018, Arroyo become the head coach for the Williamsville North JV girls basketball program and led them to a 25-12 mark. Finally, in 2018-2019, he joined the Erie Community College Men's Basketball staff as an assistant/developmental coach. The team wrapped up the season with a 28-6 mark and were ranked fourth in the nation.Â
Arroyo is a founder of the Chase the Dream Basketball Program at the Belle Center Community Center. The program works with youth throughout the Buffalo area and transforms their lives through the game of basketball.Â
