Serena Sordetto

Serena Sordetto is going into her first season coaching the Villa Vikings in 2024. Her most recent experience comes from Buffalo State University where she was the Women's Basketball Assistant Coach. Sordetto also spent one season coaching the Tonawanda Middle girls basketball modified team. 
Coach Sordetto is a current graduate student pursuing Higher Education and Student Affairs with a focus on Athletics and student athlete experience.
Coach Sordetto also works within the Student Life Department at Villa Maria College and she is also the Athletics Communications Coordinator. 

A SUNY Brockport alum, Sordetto was a member of the women’s basketball team for three seasons and graduated with a degree is Sport Management and Coaching in 2022. In her first season with the Golden Eagles, Coach Sordetto was awarded the most improved player of the year.
During her time at Brockport, Coach Sordetto averaged 7.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per contest.  Sordetto suffered a career ending injury in 2022 which sparked her desire to coach. 

A graduate from Kenmore East High School, Sordetto is the fourth all-time leading scorer in school history, accumulating 1,224 points in her career. Sordetto was named 1st team all-league three years in a row and was awarded the Female Athlete of the year along with the Niagara Frontier Player of the Year in 2018. A three-sport athlete in high school, Sordetto was also named to the all-league Volleyball team two years in a row and was team captain in both Volleyball and Basketball.Â
