On September 26, 2018, Mark Evertt was hired as the interim head coach of the Vikings' men's soccer program. On December 1, 2018, Evertt was promoted to head men’s soccer coach in the middle of his first offseason.
Coach Evertt was at the helm for the first full season since 2016. The 2019-20 season saw a complete roster compete in nine games both at home and on the road. In addition, the program witnessed its first goal in its young history in the opening game against Paul Smith's College. 
In the previous two seasons, Evertt served as an assistant coach with women's soccer team. He brings with him over 20 years of soccer coaching experience at the club and high school level.
Evertt has been involved in the Western New York high school soccer scene with numerous high schools.  He served as the head coach at Alden High School and the head coach at the Alden, Akron and Lancaster/Depew Soccer Clubs.  He was the Director of Coaching at the Alden Club.  He has run or assisted with goalie clinics, served as goalie coach, or been involved as an assistant at Alden, Cheektowaga, Port Colborne (Ontario), West Seneca, Lancaster and Depew. He is a member of the men’s and women’s coaching staff for the WNY Exceptional Seniors college showcase
