LANCASTER, PA. – The Villa Maria College women's flag football team wrapped up the first day of the NCFFL Pennsylvania Regional Tournament with a 28-6 win over Bethany College on April 10 at Lancaster Bible College.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Alannah Bushorr's reception on the Vikings' first possession gave Villa a 7-0 lead.
- The Vikings got back-to-back 50-plus yard scores in the second and third quarters.
- Kiara Mercado got the first of those scores with a rushing touchdown to close out the first half scoring at 14-0.
- Bushorr scored on a 55-yard reception for her second score of the contest in the third quarter and a 21-0 lead.
- Brianna Shalinsky registered her third throwing touchdown of the game after finding Mercado to extend the lead to 28-0.
- The Viking defense finished with three Bison interceptions.
- Angelina Green, Keiliany Diaz and Mercado each registered a defensive pick.
- Bethany College's score came on their last offensive play in the game's final two minutes.
- Villa finished the first day of tournament play 3-0 with a combined 85-13 scoring edge.
