DIX HILLS, NY - Villa Maria women's basketball player Mia Special was selected as a 2025-26 North American Conference for Intercollegiate Athletics (NACIA) Women's Basketball Honorable Mention, announced Robert Dranoff, co-commissioner of the NACIA.

The senior guard from Williamsville, who reached 1,000 collegiate career-points during the 2025-26 season, led the Vikings in three statistical categories during the 2025-26 season.

Special, who has already been garnered a 2026 USCAA All-Academic selection, led the Vikings in scoring (246), assists (52), and free throw percentage (.783), while finishing third on the team in rebounds (83) and steals (25).

The North American Conference for Intercollegiate Athletics (NACIA) is the first formal Division 1 conference of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
