Women's basketball picked up a thrilling win against conference opponent Bryant and Stratton Buffalo with a final score of 70-65.
The energy in the Villa Athletic Center was electric as the women's team celebrated senior forward Ellanda Francois. The Vikings found some rhythm early, Francois dominated in the paint in the first half scoring 6 of her 13 points in the first quarter.
In the front court:
Junior guard Mia Special and freshmen guard Keiliany Diaz led the way for the Vikings with a combined 43 points. Diaz had a career-high for the Vikings, scoring 23 points and coming up huge with a defensive block in the fourth quarter that sealed the victory. Special and Diaz each scored 9 points in the 4th quarter, fueling the Vikings with all the momentum during the last few minutes of regulation.

Junior forward Daishya Stallings contributed 10 points in the victory, while teammates Abigail Britton (freshmen, forward) and Zilkia Figuerora (junior, guard) had outstanding defensive efforts and presence on both ends of the floor.
