BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Villa Maria College women's basketball team were at home on Saturday to take on no. 6 ranked UC Clermont. The game was a rematch from the December 11 matchup, that saw a similar result. Villa battled early, but the Cougars were consistent and pulled away to five the Vikings a 75-58 loss. They now hold a 14-9 record heading into their final games of the season.
The first quarter showed how evenly matched these two units can be, with Villa shooting 8-for-13 from the field and 2-for-4 from three to hold a 18-17 lead after the initial ten minutes.
