BUFFALO, N.Y. –The COVID-19 pandemic caused a variety of cancelations and changes to the 2020-21 season. The Villa Maria College Department of Athletics would like the opportunity to thank our seniors for their dedication through their chosen sport. As a result, we will be posting Senior Salutes for each senior throughout the coming days.
 
From North Lawrence, N.Y. and a graduate of The Holy Name of Jesus Academy, from the women's cross-country team, Bridget and Monica Schiltz.  
 
The Schiltz sisters joined the cross country team for the 2019 season and they both competed in five races. Bridget's top performance came in the Meghan Memorial when she finished no. 8 in the 5k event with a time of 26:12. Monica's top time was 30:38 in a 5k at the Dan Walker invitational. Her top place was also in the Meghan Memorial as she took no. 25 after hitting a time of 31:12.
