THE OPENING TIP
The Villa Maria College Vikings make their second straight trip to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Tournament after advancing to the Final Four last year as the sixth seed.  This season, Villa enters the tournament once again as the sixth seed and will take on third-seeded University of Maine Augusta on Thursday at 9:30 p.m.  Villa posts a 22-7 overall record heading into the tournament and is fresh off a Northeastern Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (NIAC) regular season and postseason championship.  Villa defeated the SUNY Delhi Broncos this past Saturday in the championship game.  Thursday's Elite 8 contest will take place inside Maltho Gymnasium on the campus of Penn State Fayette, the Eberly Campus in Uniontown, PA. Â
LEADING THE CHARGE
- Villa is led by recently named USCAAÂ Women's Basketball Division II National Player of the Year,
Shaquana Owens. Â She averages 22.9 points, 11.8 rebounds, 8.2 assists. Â She has 96 steals and 48 blocks to go along with 10 triple-doubles.

Bianca Brown was named to the USCAA All-America Second team after averaging 17.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and shooting 33.1 percent from beyond the arc.
