BUFFALO, NY - The Villa Maria Vikings recorded five shots on net, and battled for 90 minutes but it was not enough as the Point Park Pioneers scored three first half goals to defeat Villa 4-0 on Thursday afternoon at Schiller Park in Buffalo, NY.
Villa (1-5-0) junior goalkeeper
Melyssa Olmstead (Barrie, Ontario, CA/Marygrove College) made 19 saves as Point Park recorded 38 shots, and 23 on net. Olmsted stopped 12 shots in the first half and seven in the second.
Adeika Santana-Santiago (San German, Puerto Rico/International Prep) recorded a season-high three shots while senior
Breanna Pangel (Holland, NY/Erie Community College) and freshman
Megan Marafino (Cheektowaga, NY/Cheektowaga High School) each recorded a shot.
Point Park (3-3-0) picked up it's third consecutive win with their third straight shutout. Â Four different Pioneers scored on Thursday.

The Vikings are back in action on Friday, September 29th at Alfred State.  The game is set for 6 p.m.
