#6 Lady Vikings Take on #3 Penn State Branywine in USCAA Elite 8

Villa making first appearance in USCAA National Tournament

UNIONTOWN, PA - The sixth-seeded Villa Maria College Lady Vikings will take part in their first ever United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Basketball Tournament when they take on third-seeded Penn State Brandywine at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening in the tournament's Elite 8 round.  Here's everything you need to know as the Lady Vikings prepare to advance to the Final Four..

* Villa comes into the national tournament with a 17-8 overall record and have won six consecutive games

* Penn State Brandywine comes into the USCAA Tournament winners of three straight games and a PSUAC Conference Championship
* They finished 21-7 and 11-3 in conference play
* They are led by Nikki Velez who is scoring 17.3 points per game
* Brandywine ranks 12th in points per game (66.4)
