BUFFALO, NY - Freshman Armoni Jordan (Lockport, NY/South Park) scored a game-high 26 points and was efficient as it gets, helping the Villa Maria College Lady Vikings capture a 66-54 home victory over the Seneca College Sting on Friday night.

In Villa's first home game of the season, Jordan was 13-of-18 from the field and added six rebounds and two steals as the Lady Vikings led by as many as 22 points.  Villa shot 46.8 percent in the second half, turning an eight-point halftime lead into 18 heading into the final quarter.  

Jordan opened the second half scoring with a layup before sophomore Shaquana Owens (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry) scored on the fast break two possessions later.  Jordan then ripped off 10 of Villa's next 14 points, increasing the lead to 17.  Fellow freshman Brooklyn Jenkins (Lockport, NY/Lockport) then buried a triple from the right wing to get the lead up to 20.  Jenkins finished with five points and a steal in just nine minutes.

Owens stuffed the stat sheet, finishing with 14 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, four blocks and three steals.  It marks her second double-double of the season and 12th of her young career.

Villa junior forward Clarissa Walker (Rochester, NY/Genesee CC) finished with a season-high eight points on 4-of-6 shooting.  She added four rebounds, a block and a steal as well.  Freshman Nina Cray (Wheatland, IA/Calamus-Wheatland) came off the bench and pulled down a 12 rebounds.  The Lady Vikings finished with 18 offensive rebounds and turned those into 14 points.  They also scored 44 points in the paint, and 24 in the fast break.
