ANN ARBOR, MI – Despite a hard battle, the Villa Maria College Lady Vikings struggled to get much going offensively, falling to Concordia University 100-37 on Sunday afternoon at the Field House.
 
Sophomore Shaquana Owens (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry) and freshman Leah McQuiller (Buffalo, NY/Mount Mercy) led the Vikings offensively with eight points a piece, but the Cardinals were clicking on all cylinders, making it tough for the much less experienced Lady Vikings to contain.  The Cardinals shot 44 percent from the floor and made 40 field goals.  They also connected on seven three-point attempts.
 
Karlee Morris paced Concordia with 14 points as the Cardinals had four players in double figures and 13 different players score.
 
The Lady Vikings are off for 13 days before returning to the court.  They will take part in the Erie Community College Tournament on November 12th and 13th.  They will first take on Cuyahoga Community College at 12 p.m. on Saturday the 12th.  Follow the Lady Vikings on Twitter (@villavikings) for all updates.
