BUFFALO, NY - The Villa Maria Lady Vikings returned home on Saturday, but were unable to pick up a victory, falling to Niagara County Community College 81-57 for the second time this season.
Niagara County, who improved to 19-1 on the year, shot nearly 48 percent from the floor while the Vikings shot just 29.6 percent. Leading the way for the Thunderwolves was Albanellys Perez, who scored a team-high 17 points, and also corralled 15 rebounds. NCCC had five players in double-figures.
Villa was led by senior
Magan Campbell (Buffalo, NY/Erie Community) who put home 21 points, and freshman
Shaquana Owens (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry) who registered a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Junior
Jayvonna Kincannon (Buffalo, NY/Erie Community) also added 13 points off the bench.
Villa has a week off before they play three games in three days, beginning with a 4 p.m. tip-off with SUNY Canton on Saturday, December 16.
